Shirley_Williams.jpgShirley Williams, former Liberal Democrat Leader in the House of Lords will be in Cambridge again on Saturday (November 6) – the second time in less than a week.

The former Cabinet Minister will be joining Cambridge MP, Julian Huppert, Lib Dem councillors and activists for their Campaign Day.

Last Sunday, Shirley Williams was visiting the city for the Cambridge Literary Festival, where she discussed the impact of the First World War on the life and work of her mother, Vera Brittain, author of Testament of Youth.

“I am delighted to be back in Cambridge in such a short time,” said Shirley Williams. “It is such a vibrant, lively city and I am looking forward to supporting Julian, who is a very able and hard-working MP.”

Julian said: “We are very fortunate that Shirley Williams has found time in her busy schedule to come and spend time in Cambridge as part of our campaign."

“She is an extremely experienced politician and I know she will add so much to our campaign.”
