City Deal cycling improvements consultation


As part of the Greater Cambridge City Deal, £200,000 has been set aside for minor improvements to the cycle network in the city. As part of this work, 5 projects have been selected for funding across the city, and the City Deal are running a consultation on the proposed projects.

More information can be found on the City Deal website. The 5 projects are:

  1. New cycle lanes along Arbury Road
  2. Cycle links to Cambridge North station and the Science Park
  3. Improvements along Ditton Lane
  4. New cycle lanes along the southern section of Hills Road to Addenbrooke's
  5. Impovements along Fulbourn Road

There are several public events with information on the schemes; the ones in the south of the city are:

  • Monday 18 January, 11:30 - 14:30, Food Court & Councourse, Addenbrooke's Hospital
  • Thursday 28 January, 17:00 - 20:00, Cherry Hinton Village Centre, Colville Road
  • Wednesday 3 February, 17:30 - 20:30, St John the Evangelist, Hills Road

and there's an online consultation where you can give your feedback on the proposals here.
