Says Cllr Jennifer Liddle:

"It would be sad to see this much-loved old building in Covent Garden go. It has been the focus of so much excellent drama and community work. Though there is no money in the council's kitty to keep it going, we would be more than willing to listen very sympathetically to any offers to continue its great role as a centre for drama, the arts and community work".

There is a public meeting tonight (19th July) at the Drama Centre 7pm to consider the future of the building which is currently owned by the city council.
