Former Lib Dem leader Charles Kennedy in Cambridge

Charles KennedyFormer Liberal Democrat leader, Charles Kennedy, will be visiting Cambridge on Thursday (April 22) as the guest of Julian Huppert, the party's Parliamentary Candidate.

Mr Kennedy, who led the party from 1999-2006, will be speaking outside the Guildhall at 11am before setting off across the city meeting voters.

He will also be giving his backing to Lib Dem councillors, activists and supporters at the party's election office in Wellington Court.

Julian said: "We are extremely fortunate to have the support of Charles Kennedy in Cambridge. He is a very popular figure in the party and has done a great deal of good work.

"I hope as many people as possible will take this opportunity to come and listen to him speak and meet him during his visit."
