Give residents say over bus routes

Local Lib Dems have called on the Labour-run City Council to properly listen to the views of Newnham residents on controversial proposals to put new bus lanes along Madingley Road, or across the green belt on West Fields.

Councillor Rod Cantrill said: “We’re extremely concerned about these proposals, and are determined that residents have their say.
“This is a huge matter and could potentially change the face of Newnham.

“Both Councillors and residents are not seeking to do nothing, but have come forward with viable alternatives to the proposals put forward. I am glad that due to pressure the city deal is now prepared to listen to residents on alternatives.

“There are numerous ways of combating congestion; bus lanes aren’t the only answer.”

If you are interested in learning more about the proposals please do go along - all residents are welcome. Consultation details are listed bellow.
