Huppert urges city talent to compete for West End premiere

Cambridge MP Julian Huppert is calling on the city’s talented musicians and film makers to enter a national competition with the chance to have their work premiered in London’s West End.

The Parliamentary competitions Rock the House and Film the House are sponsored by industry and supported by celebrity patrons including rock legends Alice Cooper and Rick Wakeman.

They offer musicians and film makers from Cambridge the opportunity to have their work judged by the leading lights of industry and win prizes including festival slots, studio time and equipment.

Julian said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for musicians and film makers to showcase their work to a wider audience including leading names in the industry and put Cambridge on the map.

“We have a wealth of talent in the city and I would urge everyone to think about nominating entrants for this competition so that they can get the recognition they deserve. It could be the first step to a new career.”
