Lib Dem Peer in city for opening of election campaign shop

Kate_Parminter.jpegLiberal Democrat Peer, Kate Parminter will join Cambridge MP Julian Huppert, party members and supporters for the official opening of their election campaign shop tomorrow (Saturday, March 21).

Baroness Parminter, who used to be the Chief Executive of the Campaign to Protect Rural England, will be at the shop at 28 Hills Road at 12 noon.

The shop, which will be manned by volunteers including Lib Dem councillors and activists, is being launched to give constituents information about the Lib Dem’s election campaign in the city. After the launch the Lib Dem team will be out canvassing in the city.

Julian said: “I am delighted that Kate can find time to come to the city to support the general election campaign.

“We have a dedicated team of volunteers working in our shop and I hope constituents will take time to visit to meet them and find out more about our policies and our work in the city.”
