David Howarth, MP for Cambridge, has addressed a rally protesting against the proposed cuts to mental health services in Cambridge. Several hundred protesters marched around the city centre in the protest, organised by Unison Cambridge.

Commenting on the rally, David said:

"It was extremely heartening to see so many residents, service users and NHS workers brave the cold to rally against these proposals. It is important that the Trust realise how vital the threatened services are. Mental health really can be a matter of life and death and so we must do all we can to defend mental health services in Cambridge."
