Speak out on children's facilities - Lib Dems urge1.05.38pm GMT Tue 7th Feb 2006 Liberal Democrat City Councillors are encouraging residents in Castle, Market and Newnham wards to speak at the West Central Area Committee meeting on Thursday 9th February at 7.30pm in the Nave, Wesley Methodist Church. The Area meeting will include an Open Forum in which members of the public are invited to ask any question, or make a statement on any matter relating to their local area covered by the City Council wards for this Area Committee. The theme for next week's Open Forum is Open Spaces and will focus on facilities for children and young people community safety and litter. Councillor Joye Rosenstiel, Executive City Councillor for Community Development and Leisure, commented: "It is a great opportunity for people living in this area of the City to have a say on what facilities they want and how to tackle litter and community safety in these areas. "If you have any ideas on how you would like to improve facilities for young people, then come along and suggest it to the committee."
