By-election victory shows Lib Dems going from strength to strength... and the Tories failing to shine under new leader Cameron11.03.36am GMT Fri 10th Feb 2006 Last night's dramatic by-election victory in Dumferline and West Fife showed the hype of a Tory resurgence following the election of new Leader, David Cameron to be just that, unfounded hype with the Conservative party trailing in at a poor 4th place.
