Councillor offers to host Cambridge City FC Talks9.45.56am BST (GMT +0100) Tue 30th May 2006 Leader of the City Council Coun Ian Nimmo-Smith, has today offered to host round-table talks over the future of Cambridge City Football Club grounds. The offer follows news that a planning application has been submitted for the football club's Milton Road grounds. Coun Nimmo-Smith, who represents West Chesterton where Cambridge City Football Club is situated, commented: "Judging from the people who have been in touch with me, Cambridge City Football Club has a lot of local support. There is a general acceptance of the need to move to a different site. However, it is in the City's interest for the club to be given enough time to plan for its relocation. "I would be happy to host round-table talks with the Supporters' Trust and Brian York if that is seen as helpful."
