Lib Dem MP David Howarth attended the Naming of the Dead ceremony on Friday 15 February.

The ceremony was hosted by the Stop the War Coalition. On the fifth anniversary of 2 million people marching against the Iraq war, the ceremony remembered the latest victims of the many thousands who have lost their lives in this war. Mr Howarth and other prominent anti-war personalities read out names of fallen soldiers. Other attendees included Lib Dem Councillors Julie Smith, Colin Rosenstiel and Ian Nimmo-Smith, leader of Cambridge City Council.

David Howarth said:

"This was a powerful and moving protest against an illegal war which Britain should never have been involved in."
