MP discusses current affairs with Year 8 children - Howarth12.00.00am UTC (GMT +0000) Tue 27th May 2008
Year 8 students at St Faith's school sat with David Howarth MP last Friday to talk about the work of an MP and life in Parliament. Following their visit to the House of Commons, the children asked many questions on Mr Howarth's diary, his work in Parliament and in the constituency. Mr Howarth also described the legislative process and discussed current issues. David Howarth commented: "I'm very grateful for the warm welcome at St Faith's. I very much enjoy these discussions with children and I'm always impressed by their excellent knowledge of politics. I'm glad I was able to answer their questions and I hope they learnt something from what I said. "Some questions were particularly well-informed and interesting and I'm proud that our young generation has such an interest in current affairs." ENDS
