Path safety worries

Lib Dems explore alternatives to shared-use paths

Following concerns raised by Trumpington residents, the local Lib Dem team are exploring alternative options to shared-use pavements.

Particular concern has been raised down Trumpington Road, where cyclists and pedestrians have been coming into conflict.

Better signage needed to keep residents safe

Lib Dem councillor Nick Avery said: “Some of the Trumpington Road path is shared-use, but the current signs are unclear.

“Cyclists are expected to join a bus lane at one point and the whole situation is unsatisfactory. Keeping people safe is our main concern, and we’d welcome your views on how to improve things.”
