Cambridgeshire & Peterborough 2019 Conference

Our Annual Conference of Liberal Democrats in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough returns once again to last year's venue, Histon Baptist Church.

We are delighted that the following speakers have accepted our invitation...

  • Prof Dame Carol Black (Principal of Newnham College) and Dr David Cleevely CBE (entrepreneur and telecoms expert): two of the commissioners who wrote the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Economic Review which is critical to the future development in our region.
  • Brexit blogger supreme, Prof Chris Gray from Royal Holloway, University of London. Why do we invite him to speak quite often? Because he is massively well informed and brings rigour and incisiveness to the picture even as things get more chaotic. If you haven’t heard him already, you are really missing out and if you have heard him, you probably already know you want to hear him again.
  • Mark Robertson (Principal of Cambridge Regional College) who is talking to us about building skills in post-16 education, critical for our economy and for young people.

We have a training stream which includes sessions on Using the Council for Campaigning, Making a difference in your community, Building your team and a session on Getting out the vote.

The cost of £25 will include lunch, tea and coffee throughout the day, and access to all sessions.

Ticket sales are now closed - if you haven't got yours but would like to come please email lorna@lornadupre.org.uk to let her know and you can pay cash on the day
