Developers want to close several local paths, as well as access to the northern part of the Guided Busway via Foster Road.
Although the closure is proposed to take place in sections, it would not be possible to travel all the way to the busway until the path fully reopens in 2020, with the diversion route being to the south via the Foster Road stop. The closure will mostly affect those accessing the station or hospital.
If the closures go ahead, there are plans to upgrade the current cycle path to include a proper surface with lighting.
We’re particularly keen to hear from anyone who has mobility difficulties, or are worried about displacing vulnerable cyclists to the busy High Street.
