Daniel Lee - City Councillor for Queen Edith's Ward


Daniel is a hardworking, dedicated Councillor who understands the real issues that people in Queen Edith’s care about.

Daniel was born in Rosie Maternity Hospital and grew up in Cambridge.

Some of Daniel’s earliest memories are of going to playgroup in Colville Road, before going to nursery at ACE and a few local schools.

Daniel then studied Classics and Ancient History at the University of Nottingham to masters level.

For the last few years, Daniel has worked at Cambridge University Press. At work, Daniel has been involved with the Staff Representation Panel while running 7-a-side football.

Daniel is a passionate quizzer, and can often be seen in the heart of the local community as quizmaster at the Queen Edith Pub.

Daniel was elected to be a City Councillor last year.

“I stood to be a City Councillor so I could tackle unfairness in our society,” says Daniel. “That is why my proudest moment as a Councillor has been passing my council motion on Universal Credit.”

“If re-elected this May, I will continue my record of standing up for the vulnerable and working for our area.”
