Andrew Duff MEP, David Howarth and party activists at the new office's opening ceremony
Last Saturday saw the opening of Cambridge Liberal Democrats' new north office, at 41 Victoria Road. Andrew Duff MEP was joined by David Howarth, local councillors and activists for the opening ceremony.
Support for the Liberal Democrats in Cambridge has grown to such an extent it was felt that the existing office in Glisson Road no longer had sufficient space. The new office will be the Cambridge Lib Dem headquarters during the general election campaign. We will continue to staff our Glisson Road office, which will be used principally to welcome activists from other constituencies arriving in Cambridge by train.
After seeing the new Victoria Road office, David Howarth commented:
"This is exactly what we need to campaign effectively in Cambridge. We now have offices on both sides of the river, with more space, more people and more equipment. The number of active Lib Dem supporters in Cambridge is growing every week, and this new space is a reflection of that growth. We are winning the arguments in Cambridge, and this expansion of our operations is proof of that."
The north office's full address is 41 Victoria Road, Cambridge, CB4 3BW - general enquiries should be directed to 01223 356362. There is short stay pay and display car parking in Holland and Fisher Streets, just around the corner from the office, and we have one car parking space directly outside the building.
