Cambridge City Council is celebrating their win at the 'Parking Oscars' for effective on-street management of parking.
Cambridge won the category of "Effective on-street management" at the British Parking Awards on Friday which looked at the number of appeals, levels of customer satisfaction and good customer relations.
Commenting on the success, Cllr Jenny Bailey, Executive City Councillor for Planning and Transport said:
"It's great that Cambridge has won this award. The parking staff work very hard in often difficult circumstances and so it's good to see their hard work rewarded.
"It is crucial that we tackle congestion on the City's roads which is the major reason for parking enforcement. We are continually investing in the transport system in the city in order to make life easier for those who live and work in Cambridge and the parking schemes are inseparable from that work."
