Today, David Howarth, MP for Cambridge, visited Long Road Sixth Form College to officially open the College's new bicycle racks.
Mr. Howarth, a parent of one of the college's students, spoke to a large group of students before cutting the ribbon on the new secure cycle storage.
Commenting Mr. Howarth said:
"Cambridge is a city with very high rates of bicycle use but also record rates of bike theft, which is why facilities such as these are vital. Its great that so many students at Long Road, and at the other schools and colleges in the city, cycle every day and we must do all we can to encourage them."
