Cambridge art group celebrates 125 years

David Howarth, MP for Cambridge, is today encouraging Cambridge residents to visit an exhibition by local artists.

Mr. Howarth visited the Annual Exhibition by the Cambridge Drawing Society at the Guildhall as they celebrated their 125th year.

Mr. Howarth commented:

"It was a pleasure to visit the Cambridge Drawing Society's exhibition. There was a wide variety of art on display, including some from some of the Society's well known former members and others from young talent such as Monika Umba who won the Carter Jonas prize today."

The exhibition is open to the public daily between the 14 th and 21st April between 10.00am and 5.30pm. It closes Saturday 21st April at 4.00pm. Admission is free.

The exhibition includes around 260 pieces of work encompassing a variety of media, fine art prints and sculpture by artists from the Cambridge area.
