NHS training budgets should not be attacked

Cambridgeshire Liberal Democrats have warned of major problems in the future if health care training budgets are raided to square deficits.

The East of England Strategic Health Authority plans to cut 10% from training budgets.

"This is simply not good enough, patients will suffer in the long term.Here in the East of England we are under pressure from a growth and an aging population yet at the same time training budgets are cut, junior doctors cannot get jobs and some staff are moving abroad. This is not sustainable."
