Cambridge residents, led by their MP David Howarth, will join a giant protest in London calling on world leaders to take urgent action against climate change.
Mr Howarth has urged people to give their support to The Wave, a mass march involving tens of thousands of people marching from Grosvenor Square to the Houses of Parliament.
A coach full of Mr Howarth's constituents will head to the capital on December 5 to join the event organised by the Stop Climate Change Coalition.
They will be joined by Stephen Stretton who works for the Cambridge Centre for Climate Change Mitigation research who is writing "A Short Guide to a Secure Future: Climate Energy and the Future of Our Economy."
Cambridge City Executive Councillor for Climate Change and Growth will also join the group.
The march is being staged ahead of the crucial UN climate summit in Copenhagen which begins two days later.
Mr Howarth said: "It is vital that leaders across the world address this unprecedented crisis and take action now to deal with global warming.
"Climate change is a real and serious threat and I would urge everyone to support this event so that our voices can be heard."
Tickets for the coach trip to London will cost £10. During the journey Mr Howarth, Mr Stretton and Cllr Reid will address passengers and give them an opportunity to ask questions.
