MP Julian Huppert will be joining staff, parents and friends tomorrow (Saturday, November 13) for the opening of Cambridge's Fawcett Children's Centre.
The event will begin at the centre at Fawcett Primary School in Alpha Terrace at 10am with a short presentation from Manager, Clare Wilkinson.
As well as soft play equipment for the children and face painting, there will be an exhibition of photos of the children enjoying activities at the centre which runs drop in and play sessions for youngsters.
Julian said: "I am really looking forward to visiting the centre and meeting the staff, parents and children.
"These centres are a key part of our communities offering not only a chance for children to meet and play together but much-needed advice and support for parents and carers.
"We are fortunate in Cambridge to have such a strong network of Children's Centres supported by dedicated staff."
