Jean SwansonResidents, business people and local organisations are being given the chance to have their say on a new Noise Action Plan for Cambridge Airport.

The consultation, which will run until December 25, has been welcomed by Cambridge City Executive Councillor for Environmental Services, Jean Swanson.

Cambridge Airport operators have been asked to provide the Noise Action Plan by the Civil Aviation Authority after announcing increased flights.

Lib Dem Cllr Swanson, who represents Queen Edith's ward said: "Naturally people are concerned about plans to increase flights from the airport and they have a number of questions about the proposals. I am pleased to see that they will get a chance to have their say through this consultation. and I hope many people will respond to it.

"The airport is extremely valuable to Cambridge providing a large number of jobs but it is vitally important that all measures are taken to make sure it doesn't cause disruption for people living nearby."
