Huntingdon Road Zebra Crossing

Castle Lib Dems call for safety improvements to Huntingdon Road Zebra Crossing

Whilst talking to people on the doorstep in your area many of you have voiced concerns about the zebra crossing on Huntingdon Road close to Oxford Road.

I have heard reports of dangerous driving and cycling where no regard is given to pedestrians trying to cross or whilst they are on the crossing.

I have submitted a bid to improve the safety of crossing, via better signage to warn drivers and cyclists of the crossing and a physical road feature (like rumble strips) to signal to drivers they are approaching the crossing, to the Local Highways scheme, which is a fund available to make small improvements to highways.

This bid is more likely to be successful with evidence of support from the local area. So if you are supportive of improving the Zebra crossing please sign your name in support below.
