Jamie Dalzell - Lib Dem City Councillor for West Chesterton

Jamie Dalzell is proud to serve West Chesterton as a City Councillor, having been first elected in 2018.

He married his wife, Cheney, at Shire Hall during the 2020 lockdown and lives locally with their two cats. They are looking forward to finally going on their honeymoon in the summer.

With a 15-year career in accountancy working in a range of different sectors, Jamie is currently Head of International Finance for a large charity based in Cambridge.

He has used his financial skills as a City Councillor, acting as the Lib Dem lead for Finance and then for Housing. In these roles, Jamie has consistently campaigned for a just transition to net zero, to reduce motor traffic in Cambridge and to deliver the best possible outcomes for homeless people in our city.

Jamie is a passionate supporter of community engagement on major projects that impact our community. He will fight to make sure the money allocated for North East Cambridge is spent in North East Cambridge.

Jamie said, “I am keen to be re-elected to Council this year so that I continue to help our community recover from the pandemic whilst also ensuring the success of the major projects that are ongoing in our area.”
