Julian meets the children having fun with Bounce!

YQ5J9880.jpgMP Julian Huppert will be meeting the children and volunteers at Bounce! tomorrow afternoon (Saturday, February 28) to find out more about the free Saturday club for vulnerable and disadvantaged youngsters.

Julian has been invited to go along by Cambridge Student Community Action as students across the country mark Student Volunteering Week.

Bounce! gives youngsters the chance to try their hands at a whole range of activities from arts and crafts to sports and board games at Box Café Hall in Norfolk Street.

“It’s great that students are giving up time on a Saturday afternoon to help these youngsters,” said Julian. “It gives the children a special place to go where they can have fun and run off some energy while at the same time getting students involved with the community in which they live. I’m looking forward to meeting everyone and finding out more about Bounce!

“Student Volunteering Work is a great opportunity for students to do something different while at the same time helping others. It was an honour to host the national launch event for it in Parliament, and to see volunteering in action in Cambridge.”
