Following the elections in May, Philippa Slatter is now part of the new Joint Administration on the County Council, which is a combination of LibDems, Labour and Independent councillors.

She works on several committees which make important decisions about Cambridgeshire as a whole.

Adults and Health, Children and Young People, (including being Vice Chair of the Corporate parenting SubCommittee Communities, Social Mobility and Inclusion (nicknamed COSMIC). The Fire and Rescue Authority

Locally, she has been appointed to the Clay Farm Centre Advisory Board.

Together with city council colleagues, we are planning to have drop-in sessions at the Centre on Saturday mornings, using the café area. Feel free to come and have a chat if you see us there, or contact me to arrange a meeting via email  [email protected] or phone 07739 530716.

Do take a look at your councils’ websites – you may be surprised by the variety of services they can provide.

If you live on Trumpington Meadows and pay your council tax to the South Cambridgeshire District Council, you have a different set of councillors, but they are all LibDems and work closely together. You may have met some of them at the monthly Sunday market on the square near Sainsbury’s (see picture below).
