In a massive commercial scheme Cambridge City Council is about to redevelop its multi-storey car park in Park Street to provide a new car park underground and a hotel above ground. In the process it is scrapping the public toilets facing the street which include specific provision for disabled people. It refuses to replace them in the new building.
We the undersigned object to the scrapping of public toilets from the council’s redevelopment in Park Street. We call on Cambridge City Council to amend its plans so that it continues to provide this basic public service at this location.
