Saturday 5th March, 7:30pm, St. Paul's, Hills Road.
Guest speaker: Graham Watson, Ex-MEP 1994-2014 and until recently President of Alliance of Liberal Democrats in Europe.
We hope very much you will be able to join us for our annual party in March. We have moved to a larger venue and Cambridge Lib Dems’ very own pop-up restaurant team, Super Bowl Food.
This year they have headed for North Africa for inspiration. We will enjoy canapes, a delicious main course and a range of donated puddings which will show off the top class skills of some of our members. The Super Bowl Food formula is designed to chat with many old and new friends as you wander with your bowl of food. It also means that many people can meet Norman and Mary.
Sarah Ellis-Miller, co-founder of Super Bowl Food, explains why their formula works so well for the annual party. “Our main aim is that everyone, including people new to the Lib Dems, has a good evening and we have a team of hosts to help with that. Canapes and a main course in a bowl make seating, and indeed the whole event, very flexible. It is easy for the hosts to circulate and look after people throughout the evening, making sure everyone has food, wine and company. It also means as many people as possible can talk with our guest speaker.”
The other Super Bowl Food co-founder, Elizabeth Parkin, is confident that the Bowl Food really will be Super. “There are a wide range of options from around the world which suit serving in a bowl. This year the inspiration is coming from the Eastern Mediterranean where slow-cooked meat, interesting vegetables and some intense flavours promise a delicious meal.”
As ever, the party will be rounded off by a range of delicious donated deserts. Tickets cost £25 (£12.50 concessionary*) can be bought through the link below. Please book early to make sure of your place.
Vegetarians and meat eaters are catered for as standard. Please tell us about any other dietary requirements.
