Stop blocking resident parking schemes

The Conservative Majority at the County Council voted in March to block work on residents parking schemes in the City.

We disagreed with that decision at the time, and now six months have passed the decision can be reversed. This has meant across the City residents who don't have schemes are unfairly impacted, particularly when they are nearby to areas which already have parking controls.

Cllr Ian Manning will be taking a motion to the December County Council meeting asking for work to start again - allow residents to have parking schemes where a clear majority want them.

We believe residents should have a say in whether they want parking controls or not, and by signing this signal our support for Cllr Manning's motion to allow work to continue on residents' parking schemes in Cambridge City.
