Disappointing news from the Lords: On October 27th they narrowly voted to reject a motion to stop 1.9m people being deleted from the voting register in December. The government will now go ahead with changes that will disenfranchise voters across the country before elections in May.Read more
The East Area Committee is a key committee for local residents, where they can talk to and raise issues directly with ward councillors. The EAC is comprised of the City and County Councillors from Abbey, Romsey, Coleridge, and Petersfield wards, and meets quarterly to decide on issues affecting the wards directly. Overall there was a good response to the survey, with most responses coming from residents living on Radegund Road itself. Generally, there was agreement in people’s responses as to the issues facing the road, but varying opinions to the possible solutions.Read more
