Cheney Payne - A Fresh Voice for Cambridge
Cheney Payne
The local champion who will stand up for Cambridge
Cheney Payne is the fresh voice we need as our next MP.
Cheney has lived in Cambridge for 16 years, and stands up for our community every day as a city councillor.
She isn’t a career politician - she has worked as a teacher for the past 12 years and is currently Assistant Principal at a secondary school in Cambridgeshire.
She has spent years standing up for local residents on the issues that mattter - taking action on drink spiking, standing up for refugees and opposing Michael Gove’s plans to take power away from local people.
If elected as your MP on July 4th, Cheney will not take you for granted and will fight for a fair deal for our city.
Cheney says, “I believe Cambridge needs a fresh, liberal voice in parliament. Labour are on course for a big majority in this election - and Cambridge could end up being taken for granted with just another Labour MP following the party line.”
“Labour have made clear that they are prioritising appealing to leave voters in the red wall, not places like Cambridge. If elected to be your MP I won’t take your vote for granted. I will stand up for our city’s liberal, european values and make your voice heard.”
