Fair Funding for North East Cambridge!
The Labour government’s decision not to fund the relocation of the Waste Water Treatment plant from North-East Cambridge means new investment promised to North East Cambridge will not be delivered.
The move would deliver new housing and jobs for the area, and reduce sewage going into the Cam near the city. The new development would have also delivered valuable investment in new facilities the local area badly needs:
- More Sports facilities
- More green space
- Highways improvements
Local Labour already took the swimming pool that was supposed to be delivered for North East Cambridge. Now the Labour government has decided to take the rest.
In light of the government's decision, Chesterton Liberal Democrats are demanding that the government must deliver the improvements our area was promised.
If you agree with these aims and don't want Labour to keep taking North Cambridge for granted- complete the form below to support our petition.
Invest in North East Cambridge
We, the undersigned, call on the government to deliver the improvements our area was promised - a new swimming pool, more green spaces & sports facilities and improvements to local highways.
