Eddington Avenue Junction Petition
In early January, bids for Local Highways Improvement (LHI) funding can be submitted. This funding provides money to make small scale improvements to the roads around Cambridgeshire.
Many of you have spoke to us about the cycle lane on Huntingdon Road heading out of the city, just past the Eddington Avenue Junction. The road narrows, and the cycle lane has a chicane, which has been referred to as the ‘corner of death’. We want to make this junction safer by adding plastic wands to the edge of the cycle lane, like Cllr Edna Murphy got installed on the inbound side.
In order for LHI bids to be successful, we must demonstrate public support. Therefore, we are asking you to sign the below petition. Without public support, LHI funding bids fail, as it is one of the scoring criteria.
Eddington Avenue Junction Petition
We, the undersigned, call on Cambridgeshire County Council to install plastic wands on the edge of the cycle lane on Huntingdon Road, just past the Eddington Avenue Junction.
