Bringing Some Green to Your Street?

As your Councillors, we’re always in on the look out for funding opportunities to improve our wonderful area.

Our candidate for May’s elections, Guy, said he was passionate to improve the amount of green areas in the division so we had a think about ways we can do this. One funding route is the Local Highways Initaitive (LHI) - for small projects in the footpath or road.

Our proposal is to submit a bid for money to turn the small areas at the end of both Humberstone and Montague Roads into small green spaces. A similar change happened on Ferry Path a few years ago, with local residents creating a small green/planted area that brought life to the space.

So, would you support this? If we succeed, we’ll obviously work with you all on the specifics of the design and what goes there, so it becomes a focal point for the local community.

Bringing Some Green to Your Street

I support the proposed Local Highways Improvement bid for the creation of small green spaces at the end of both Humberstone and Montague Road
