Rory Secures Increased Police Patrols for Castle
Councillor Rory Clark has met with community police officers for Castle division to tackle anti-social behaviour and threatening behaviour affecting residents.
Following concerns raised by residents across Castle, Rory secured commitments from police to increase patrols, particularly around Darwin Green and The Greenway where incidents have been reported.
At the meeting, Rory raised the specific concerns residents have been reporting:
· Anti-social behaviour affecting families and businesses
· Threatening behaviour making residents feel unsafe
· Hot spots where problems are most concentrated
Police have committed to increased patrols around Castle, especially in Darwin Green and on The Greenway.
The police emphasised the importance of residents reporting all incidents to help build an accurate picture of where problems are occurring.
They're asking residents to:
· Report any crimes or suspicious activity to 101 as soon as possible
· Include as much detail as possible - times, descriptions, locations, registration numbers if safe to note them
· Report every incident, even if it seems minor - patterns only emerge when all incidents are logged
The more information police have, the better they can target patrols and resources to the areas that need them most.
Rory Clark said:
"Residents have been telling me they don't feel safe because of anti-social and threatening behaviour in parts of Castle. I've taken these concerns directly to our community police officers and secured commitments for increased patrols where they're needed most.
"Darwin Green and the greenway have been particular concerns, and I'm pleased police are taking action to increase their presence in these areas. I'll continue working with police and residents to make sure Castle remains a safe place to live, work, and raise a family.
"If you're experiencing anti-social behaviour or have concerns about safety in your area, please report it to police and contact me. The more information we have, the better we can target resources where they're needed."
