WAVE OF ANTI-SOCIAL GRAFFITI - REACTION
Council Action Needed: Remove Antisocial Graffiti Across North Cambridge
Antisocial graffiti across multiple roundabouts painted in North Cambridge overnight (Monday). As a resident, I felt compelled to address the vandalism outside my own home, but this widespread problem requires a coordinated official response.
The reaction from local residents has been overwhelming - dozens stopped to express their frustration about having to see this kind of vandalism in their neighbourhood and asked what the council is doing about it.
I'm working with both City and County Council colleagues to ensure our professional graffiti removal teams can respond immediately to all affected road areas. Residents deserve rapid official action, not bureaucratic delays.

North Cambridge is home to some of our city's most vibrant and diverse communities. Residents have made it clear they won't tolerate behaviour designed to make any of their neighbours feel unwelcome or unsafe.
This represents antisocial behaviour that damages public highways, creates costs for taxpayers, and makes our streets less pleasant for everyone.
North Cambridge has always been a place where people from all backgrounds can build good lives together. That's the community we're proud of, and that's the community we'll continue to defend.
